What To Expect
Begin your day with a pickup at your Cape Town hotel in an air-conditioned coach, and travel in comfort to the private and malaria-free Aquila Game Reserve in the midst of the southern Karoo semi-desert region.
Meet your guide and game ranger when you reach the reserve, and from there climb into an open-air safari vehicle to begin your game drive.
Learn about how the Big Five—African elephants, Cape buffaloes, lions, leopards, and rhinos—got their nickname as you keep your eyes peeled for any sign of them as well as giraffes, hippos, and other animals. The Aquila Game Reserve is particularly known for its abundant bird species, thanks in part to a large wetland area. There are over 170 species of birds that make their home in the park, including the endangered Aquila Black Eagle from which the reserve takes its name.
At the end of your safari drive, return for lunch (included) and then meet up with your host once again for the drive back to Cape Town. Return to the city by late afternoon.

Not really. It depends on you. If you want, ABC trekking can be done independently. You could hire a guide and a porter by yourself instead of going through an agency or not hire a guide at all. Although, not having a guide can be a little problematic during the offseason.
It really depends on you. Is it your first time in Nepal? How confident are you of being able to find your way around? How pressed on time are you? If you go through an agency, it will be costlier but everything will be planned. You will only have to come, trek and return.
